Syeda. Amber Naqvi excelled academically, completing her Master of Commerce (M.Com) from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro, with distinction. She is also actively involved in education, managing Faham Foundation, a prominent educational institution in Hyderabad. On August 26, 2002, she married Professor Syed Suhail Jafri, a well-known figure in Hyderabad for his remarkable contributions to social work and education in Sindh. Together, they are blessed with three sons. Syeda Amber Naqvi’s journey as a Nohakhawan has been extraordinary. Her voice, filled with sorrow and devotion, vividly portrays the tragedy of Karbala and the immense sacrifices made by Imam Hussain A.S. to preserve Islam. Her captivating recitations have earned her invitations from numerous organizations across Pakistan and internationally. She has been invited to perform at significant religious events, such as Majalis, Jashan, and Mehfil-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W.S). Her global recognition as a Nohakhawan includes prestigious invitations to Syria (Sham), where she has recited Nohas five times during the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and at the Zarih-e-Mubarak of Bibi Zainab (S.A.). Additionally, she has performed in Iran and Iraq on several occasions, reciting Nohas during Majalis at sacred sites. Syeda Amber Naqvi holds the distinction of being the first female Nohakhawan to receive an award for her exceptional contributions to this sacred art.
